Lisinopril Picture

lisinopril worked well in controlling my Blood Pressure. However for the last 3 weeks I have had a constant ringing in my head. After numerous visits to doctor., ENTs, and speaking with friends and family I decided I had Tinnitus. The prognosis with Tinnitus is not good and I was told I might have it forever and would have to learn to live with it... Well that would be very difficult as it is a high pitched sound that hasn't gone away for 3 weeks, which coincides with when I first started taking the drug. Even when writing this my left ear is ringing - it sounds like high pitched tea kettle and it never stops or decreases in tone. I will stop taking this drug and go see my Dr for a new BP medicine. I can only hope that lisinopril is the culprit. I want to thank all of the people who took the time to list their side effects.....As I now know others have had ringing in their ears because of Lisinopril. Ringing in the ears has never been listed as a side effect but it needs to be. The ringing in your ears can make you darn near suicidal. I'd rather have high BP then a constant ear ring. I'm getting off lisinopril and get another med to control my BP...PCH Austin, Texas
